Rock Climbing

Three crags. Countless climbs. Whether you're chalking up for your first ascent or chasing your next challenge, the rocks are ready.
Erongo Rocks offers three distinct granite crags, each with its own character and challenge:
🟦 Greek Wall
Our main crag features 22 bolted routes ranging from grade 15 (5a) to 27 (7b+), reaching up to 30 meters high. Expect long, single-pitch slab climbs with a mix of shorter and steeper options. Ideal for easy to moderate climbing, with a few tougher lines for those chasing a challenge.
🟨 Bird Wall
A contrast to Greek Wall, Bird Wall offers steeper slabs with bulgy sections. Routes here are shorter and suit climbers looking for easy to moderate grades with a bit of spice.
⬛ Chessboard Wall
A vertical wall with short, punchy routes. Most climbs start with bouldery moves and high first bolts—thanks to the original ascensionists’ creative use of shoulders! Climbing by fair means adds a layer of difficulty. A clip stick is highly recommended.
☀️ Aspect & Conditions
In winter, all three crags stay shaded for most of the day—perfect for cool, crisp climbing sessions.
⚠️ Gear Reminder
Climbers must bring their own gear and shoes. We do not offer equipment rental at Erongo Rocks.
